PENARTH Rugby Football Club under 13's notched up three more superb wins over the Christmas Period.
The first win was against Taffs Well Away in the Blues Cup. The team were outstanding, gaining a place in the quarter finals with a 62-10 win.
This was followed by a 35-0 away win against Penallta and finally a home win on the weekend against St Peters winning 32-5. A squad member aptly describing the match win as 'scruffy around the edges'.
The teams’ strength lays in a combination of hard working forwards winning possession both in the scrums and in loose play, creating plenty of ball for the backs to play with.
Outstanding moments in the St Peters win were the four tries by Evan Lloyd, individual tries by Rhys Newman, Nick Hague-Jones and Max Crandon.
Other great moments were Drew Musa's kicking game, Morgan Verness' kicking skills, Aled Rees breaks and sniping runs, Lewys Williams in the loose turning ball over, Matt Wiltshire turn of speed on the wing, Tariq Amari strong breaks through the pack and the whole teams determination to win.
The trainers must be very pleased with the progress that the team are displaying.
