THE recent competition for Penarth Sea Angling took place on Sunday, January 11 with first prize going to Brendan Davies with a 4lb 7oz conger eel from the pier.
Second went to Alan Wilmott with two whiting from the pier weighing 2lb 11ozs.
Junior member Owen Harding was third with a codling weighing at 2lb 4oz from the beach.
Fourth was Paul Starling with a codling weighing 2lb exactly from the beach.
The next competition is this Sunday, fishing from the pier and beach from 3pm until 7pm.
