THE New Year saw the resumption of the popular and well-run Black Dog Mini Tennis Circuit.
There was more success for Penarth Windsor LTC as nine year old Leo Sullivan secured victory in the 10&U Green ball event held at Newport Tennis Centre. Playing up an age-group from 9&U Orange tennis, Leo won through his box and then some tough knock-out matches to secure his first Green tournament victory.
Tennis Squad head coach Robert Wedlake was delighted with Leo’s progress “Leo is one of the most determined competitors I have seen at this age, who never gives up and relishes the challenge of facing older players. This is a fine victory for him on a popular competition circuit where we have seven players on the South Wales 10&Under leader board”.
