GOLFERS from across South Wales will head to the Vale Resort later this month in an effort to qualify for the final of a national competition.

Places are still available for golfers to sign up and all standards are encouraged.

The annual Licensed Trade Charity Golf Tournament sees teams of four golfers taking each other on in a series of regional qualifiers.

On Thursday, May 21, the South Wales heat will take place.

Coinciding with National Golf Month, Welsh golfers are being encouraged to aim for glory and get together a team of four players to join the fun at the Vale Resort. There is a serious side to the day though, with the winning team in the Licensed Trade Charity Golf Tournament South Wales heat, sponsored by Cardiff brewers Brains, receiving a trophy and automatic entry into the national final to compete against 11 other regional winners.

To sign up please call Louise Marston on 01981 250333.

Money raised by the tournament will help fund the Licensed Trade Charity’s work in South Wales, helping people who have worked in pubs or breweries when they find themselves in difficulty, such as encountering problems with health or finances.
