WITH a Welsh-record 29 tennis teams in action this summer season, the courts at Penarth Windsor are scheduled to be packed with highly competitive matches this season, and the club’s junior section has already laid down an impressive marker for the senior teams to match.

Fifteen teams were in action during the opening weekend of the Aegon team tennis season, many in South Wales’ top division and nine winning their opening fixtures.

The star performance came from the 10&U Green A team of Addy Bradley Glinister, Zac Essenhigh, Leo Sullivan and Rohan Rayani.

Facing a tough opening fixture away to last season’s South Wales Champions David Lloyd, the boys (pictured) capitalised on a winter of impressive training and tournament results by securing a 5-1 victory.

In partnership with the LTA and sponsors Nike, Penarth Windsor is running a new coaching sessions every Tuesday evening for Ladies of improver/intermediate standard looking to get back into the game.

Non-members are welcome and bookings can be made on a week-by-week basis.
