COGAN FC Youth team shared the points in the South Wales East Youth league encounter in dramatic fashion.

Cogan FC packed the midfield in an attacking formation creating chances from wide positions, the pace of Gabriel Paines was causing the away team problems and the talented forward produced a moment of magic when he beat two players before smashing the ball past the helpless goalkeeper to give Cogan FC the lead.

Further chances fell to Cogan FC but it was Pentrych FC who took advantage when a corner kick was headed home from the visitors.

In the second half Cogan FC again created countless chances with the defensive unit of Pearce, Frost, Ahmed and Tidley proving too strong for the visitors.

Following a slick move Cogan FC won a penalty when Paines again proving a handful was brought down for an 80th minute penalty. The player picked himself up to put Cogan 2-1 up.

A scrappy 10 minutes followed with the visitors seeking a equaliser following an eight match unbeaten run. A quick free kick caught out Cogan FC when Pentrych equalised in the dying minutes.
