THE big news in the Vale of Glamorgan Football League was Dockers Reunited winning their namesake cup in the first final of the season.

Dockers Reunited in their first season back in the league thrashed Barry Albion 6-1 in a one sided Dockers Cup final.

In the Division One cup final, the Supporters Cup semi-final was won by Barry Belgrade against Cogan 2-1 to book a place in the final against Vale United. Subsequently a rematch of last season's Dockers Cup final.

In league action St Athan were victorious 3-0 over AFC Rhoose to remain top of the Premier Division. Wenvoe Arms and Cardiff Airport followed up mid-week 4-1 wins over Barry Athletic and Cowbridge Town respectively.

Wenvoe dismantled Dinas Powys Athletic 5-1 while Cardiff Airport overcame Masons Moving Group 2-0. Elsewhere, SP Construction secured successive victories as their great escape continues with a fine 2-1 over Cowbridge Town. Barry Athletic defeated bottom side Island Marine 2-0.

Division One leaders Sully Sports title push suffered a major blow as they lost 3-2 to Cadoxton Athletic. Sully sit atop of the division by one point but the teams below have a few games in hand.

FC Pumas notched an impressive 2-1 over Cardiff Airport B, while Cadoxton Barry beat AFC Rhoose B 5-2. Tynewydd's title and promotion charge continued as they defeated Glenbrook in a 4-3 thriller to move to six points off the top with two games in hand.

Only two games in Division Two as Cadoxton Imps stayed in touch with the top two with a 3-2 win over Penarth Town B and St Athan B defeated FC Pumas B 7-2 to leap frog them into sixth.

One of next week's games to watch will be on Wednesday, April 13, in the evening as current champions Cardiff Airport host table toppers St Athan in a crunch match in the title race.

Also Tynewydd face Barry Belgrade on Wednesday in a key game in Division One. Then on Sunday it's the Supporters Cup final at Jenner Park between Barry Belgrade and Vale United with Vale chasing redemption after two cup final defeats last season.
