STANWELL School pupil Deiniol Knight has successfully completed his 1st Dan (Cadet) black belt at Penarth Shotokan Karate Club, the Association of Karate and Allied Disciplines (AKAD) announced.
Stuart Creedon, 5th Dan club instructor, commented "I am really proud of Deiniol succeeding in reaching this milestone in his Martial Arts development. Deiniol has shown a great commitment to training over the past seven years and his grade is a reflection of the effort and commitment he has given to his Martial Arts development – well done".
Stuart has over 30 years of Martial Arts experience and has taught adults and children to gain discipline, confidence and respect within the clubs activities, which in turn is applied beyond the Dojo.
The club trains on a Monday and Wednesday evening at Ysgol Pen-y-Garth’s Sports Hall, Sully Road, between 6pm and 7pm, with higher grade sessions on Monday evenings between 7pm and 8pm.
