ON MAY 3, Windsor Bowling Club Ladies were away to Rectory Road in the double rink afternoon competition.

A very enjoyable game unfortunately Rectory Road winning overall seven points to three.

B Ellis, M Huntley, C Lewis and L Thomas won 15-12 and J Collier, J Williams, J Stockton and L White lost 11-15.

On May 5, away to Cowbridge in the Afternoon league.

Wonderful weather and friendly company. The artificial rink proving challenging to the Windsor ladies. Well done to the M Owen rink for their win. Cowbridge winning overall eight points to two.

On May 4 the Windsor gentleman played home to Llantwit Major in the Munro cup.

An enjoyable game, with both teams winning on two rinks, but an overall win for Windsor 81 shots to Llantwit Major's 58.

May 7 saw the second team against Pontyclun, this was the first PG 2 game of the season and although beaten 67-85, everyone did their best.

May 7 also saw the gentlemen away to Pencoed in the WBA. The greens proved to be problematic for the Windsor team who are used to the green grass of home. The match was at least played in dry conditions, but unfortunately beaten by 34 shots.

On Sunday, May 8, the ladies and men bowlers plus a few supporters travelled to Cheltenham for a friendly match. The weather, the company and the greens were superb.

The organisation was perfect, and the captain for the day, Eddie Thorne, did a sterling job.
