PENARTH athlete Brett Morse retained his Welsh title at the Welsh Championships at Cardiff International Sports Campus.

Morse threw a distance of 60.23m to win in the discus.

Hannah Brier stormed to yet another Senior Women’s Welsh 100m title, running 11.51 to defeat fellow Commonwealth Games representative Rachel Johncock who continues her return from injury.

Not to be outdone, Hannah’s brother Joe claimed his first Welsh Senior title, running a lifetime best of 47.91 to take the 400m title.

Race walker Bethan Davies narrowly missed the British record, but smashed her own Welsh Record with 12.24.70 in the 3km walk.

Another talent claimed the Men’s 800m title, at just 16, Jake Hayward retained his crown with a time of 1.53.59.

A storming last 400m saw Tom Marshall claim his third Welsh title in the metric mile.

On the field, Carys Parry claimed her 12th senior title, with a season’s best throw of 64.74, while Commonwealth Games silver medallist Sally Peake vaulted a Championship Record 4.32m for her seventh straight title.

Meanwhile in Geneva, it was yet another personal best for Seren Bundy Davies as she claimed victory in 51.26.
