NEWPORT Gwent Dragons wing Hallam Amos will face New Zealand for the third time on Saturday after being retained on the Wales wing but Warren Gatland has changed his props for the Dunedin date with the All Blacks.

Loosehead Rob Evans replaces Gethin Jenkins for the final Test, the Cardiff Blues veteran having returned home earlier this week because of a calf problem, while Exeter’s Tomas Francis gets the nod ahead of Samson Lee.

The rest of the pack stays the same for the clash under the roof on Saturday morning (kick-off 8.35am) with captain Sam Warburton playing his 50th international as a captain having skippered Wales 48 times and the British and Irish Lions twice.

Amos gets another chance to lock horns with the classy All Blacks after mixing good with bad on tour, the 21-year-old from Cross Ash showing some delightful touches with attack and learning plenty from going up against world-class attacking foes.

He wins his ninth cap and once again he joins forces with Rhys Patchell and Liam Williams in the back three against a home side that once again features try machine Julian Savea after he sat out last weekend’s win in Wellington.

Head coach Gatland has been encouraged by aspects of Wales’ Test performances and wants to end on a high.

He said: “We have played some good rugby in the first two Tests and we want to finish the tour on Saturday with an 80-minute performance that we are happy with.

“We improved going into the second Test and fought to the end and this weekend we have to have the belief and confidence that we can take the victory.

“Playing under the rood in Dunedin will be a great atmosphere and a quick track and we need to take our game to the All Blacks.”

Gatland makes two changes to his bench with Clermont-bound prop Aaron Jarvis coming in because of Jenkins’ injury and Jake Ball getting the nod as a replacement after Bradley Davies was also forced home with a knee problem.

Forwards coach Robin McBryde, who also saw reserve flanker/lock Josh Turnbull head home after suffering a shoulder in the midweek loss to the Chiefs, is confident that the deputies can fill the void.

"Gethin has been digging in, Bradley has been carrying his knee for a while and it is a similar situation with Josh with his shoulder. But now we are just excited to see how the other boys go.”
