IT WAS Rose’s Night at the Penarth Bridge Club on Friday, July 8, when members remember Rose Brannon’s contribution to the club.
Rose’s night is a night of good food, liquid refreshments and a few prizes.
This year Eric Favager and Mike Downey won on the flat from Peter Millar and Trish Tracey.
Pat Sullivan and Hugh Simmonds were the handicap winners.
Once again Hazel and Carol excelled with the catering.
The Summer League has only a month to run, and the new leader is Peter Craig with Ann Williams a close second. It's still all to play for in this league.
The next big event is the British Sims on Tuesday, July 26.
