Dinas Wolves 6 - IMFC Blues 2

DINAS Wolves could have had this game buried in the opening 10 minutes but a failure to convert proved costly.

Bayley Harewood opened the scoring after Kyle Booker set Rian Thomas free who squared it across the goal. The pace of the Dinas forwards kept IMFC back.

The home missed a number of chances again and IMFC capitalised drawing level.

As the half wore on the game was a very even contest as both 'keepers were tested. Jacob Moss donned the gloves for Dinas and was in fine form.

With less than three minutes on the watch in the second half, IMFC had taken the lead with a great low strike into the corner as they looked to carry on from where they had finished the first half.

This just fired the home side up and from then on in they threw bodies forward in search of goals. The introduction of a nearly fit again Callum Hewitson had the desired effect as he bagged himself a hat-trick in the next 15 minutes showing why he is regarded so highly within the team.

Not to be out done Harewood bagged another two and left the field to a round of applause from his teammates. Harrison Kelly and Conor O'Brien looked for the simple ball to keep the Dinas team ticking over with some crisp passes. Rian Thomas ran himself into the ground for the team, tracking back till his tank was empty.

This wasn't a day for pretty football from the home team, it was about putting the ball in areas that Dinas could work with.

Joe Doughty, Zac Fifield, Jacob Perria and Kyle Booker kept feeding the front three time and time again. Jake Lewis, Jake Frost, Tylor Williams, Robson Malam and Kian Quest then stood strong to give the home side a good platform to play off.

Man-of-the-match for Dinas was Jacob Moss, playing in goals and proving a great stand in replacement.
