PENARTH Darts League had another high scoring round of darts matches this week with another two maximums scored along with a 177, a 174 and a 170.

The league also saw Coronation B play their first game of this season - due to last week's cancellation - away to the Three Horse Shoes.

There were many close games but Coro B came away with a hard fought 11 - 5 win. Coro won both pairs with Kate 79 out shot on x7 and Paul x5. Singles were shared 5 - 5, winners for the Shoes were Anthony 100 x2, x10, Geoff 100 100 140 x1, 100 125, 135 x20 and Rhys 125 x4, 177, Coro’s winners were Paul x20, Shaun 100 x10, 140 x1 and Neil 115 and a maximum 180 x8, x10. Neil also took the team game for the Coro with 100 x1 supported by Shaun with 140. Final score Shoes 5, Coro B 11.

At the Ex’s Club the home side, Ex’s B, took on Lion A and after many high scoring games and close legs of darts the final score stood in favour of the Lion A with their 10 points to the Ex’s B's 4 points.

The pairs were shared, for the Lion Anthony x10, Ex’s Kevin 140, maximum 180 and Ian x8. Ex’s went on to take three singles through Kevin 125, 140 120 x20, 100 and Ian 100 x8, 140 x20, Lion’s winners were Nathan 140 x3, 170 140, x10, Anthony 125 x10, 100 x8 and Lee 100 x8,100 100 x1. Kevin hit 174 for the Ex’s but the Lion took the team game through Anthony 123 100, Nathan 100 and Steve x4.

The last match was between Coronation A and Ex’s A. Coro threw some good darts but eventually lost out by 12 points to two.

Ex’s A took both pairs with Steve 140 and John 100 x8, followed by Paul 121 and Jack 100 x1. All but the last singles went the way of the Ex’s A with wins from Jack 100 100 x11 and 131 x12, Paul x10 and 10 100 121 x8, John 100 100 x5 and 123 100 x16, Wayne was the Coro’s only singles winner scoring x2 and 125 140 x4.

Steve took a point in reply for the Ex’s scoring 100 x16, Paul took the team game for the Ex’s hitting 140 x20 to seal the win at 12 - 2 to the Ex’s A.
