DINAS Powys Ladies Golf Club ladies section have been busy throughout October competing in a number of competitions.
On October 4, it was the Glamorgan County Salver 18 holes Stableford; first Vicki Ellison 35 points, second Sian Smith 33 points and third Sue Bridle 30 points.
During the same day a nine hole Stableford was played; first Sally Livsey Davies, second Rhian Thomas and third Audrey Harwood.
On October 11, a nine hole White Elephant strokeplay: first Sam Saunders 48 – 17 = 31 nett; second Sue Bridle 46 – 9 = 37 nett; third Dorothy Amery 51 – 13 = 38 nett on count back from Ruth Yates 51 – 13 = 38 nett.
On October 18, it was captains versus secretaries in a nine hole matchplay with two clubs and a putter. The secretaries were successful in winning this competition and each received a prize.
On October 25, a nine hole Turkey Trot 1 strokeplay was held: first Sian Smith 45 – 11 = 34, second Sue Bridle 44 – 9 = 35, third Ann Mahenthiralingam 42 – 7 = 35.
