Dinas Ladies 4 v Willows Ladies FC 0

WILLOWS Ladies Football Club have been a dominate team this season, occupying a top three space all season so Dinas Ladies knew this match was going to be tough encounter.

Making her first start since signing, Demi Bounds reacted fastest in the penalty area when Rachel Beare contested a corner with the 'keeper and the young Dinas forward rifled home from five yards to give the Dinas 'Villagers' a dream start.

As the half wore on Dinas took control of the play, creating enough good chances to be at least a couple up but poor finishing and a keeper in inspired form proved the difference.

At the break the girls were reminded what was required to get the job done and the reaction was superb.

Laura Murray showed why the coaches have faith in her as she rounded the 'keeper to double the lead. The introduction of Taylor Page had the desired affect as she assisted again with a through ball for Murray.

There was still plenty to do though as the Dinas striker showed a calm head and added the third.

The 'Villagers' defence was now playing like a well oiled machine giving little opportunities to any teams as they covered and worked tirelessly for each other led by skipper Leanne Pattermore, Alex "The Jockey" Allen, Rachel Beare and Kelly Tuck.

Recent signing Nao has become a formidable trio with Sam Saunders and Joey Jones in the middle all looking to play and keep the home side on the front foot with very little side wards or backwards play.

Willows to their credit always tried to play and they have a great mixture of youth and experience which made the game very entertaining from a neutral perspective. Skipper Sam Taylor held her team together and with ex-Dinas players Brooke Howells and Holly Rye, they put in good displays.

With 20 minutes remaining a rush of blood to Rachel Beare's head resulted in her chopping down the visiting winger in the box. But thankfully 'keeper Wilson stood strong and watched it sail towards Gladstone road.

Nao drove her team on and Murray completed her hat-trick with a strike in off the 'keeper. Laura Lewis though deservedly picked up player of the match as she was a thorn in the visitors side for the whole 90 minutes with a very mature display.
