THE ladies section of Dinas Powys Golf Club ended 2016 with four competitions.
On November 29, they played the Turkey Trot 6 with mulled wine which saw Sian Smith win with 20 points on the back six from Audrey Harwood in second on 20 points and third was Maxine Hird with 19 points.
On December 6, the ladies played a Texas Scramble which Sian Smith, Ruth Yates and Terry Unwin won with 38 - 6.66 = 31.34, second was Ann Mahenthiralingam, Sue Thomas and Carole Reeves 39 - 5.58 = 33.42 and third was Lisa Ryley, Dot Amery and Chris Nelms 41 - 6.50 = 34.50.
The winners were presented with seasonal poinsettias and in the evening the ladies enjoyed a Christmas dinner prepared by the club's chef.
Then to finish the month, the ladies finished the nine hole Autumn Eclectic which began on October 11. The winner was Sian Smith with 36 - 5.25 = 30.75, second was Livsey Davies 40 - 9 = 31 and third was Ruth Yates 40 - 6.25 = 33.75.
