PENARTH Sea Angling had a quiet competition on Sunday, February 26, with only three anglers recording catches.
In first place was Jim Sexton with a pike weighing 5lb 6oz and a bass weighing 2lb, for a combined weight of 7lb 6oz from the beach.
Next up was Rob Galley with a 11oz whiting from the pier.
In third was Neil Hatton with a 5 and a 1/2oz whiting, also from the pier.
The next competition will be Sunday, March 5, fishing from the pier and beach from 9am until 1pm.
