MURCH Bowling Club's ladies playing at home entertained Fairwater on July 3 in the evening league with resounding wins on both rinks to give a very comfortable margin of 30 shots.

The overall score was 47 shots to 17 and the Murch players on rink one were L Saundercott, G Hughes, E Carryer (skip), C Tranter and the score was a 19-8 win for Murch.

On rink two K Macleod, A Allen, S Mauchline (skip), M Clake and the score was a 28-9 win for Murch.

On the double rink, Murch bowlers hosted Pontyclun on July 4.

Murch proved to be too strong for the visitors, who were playing a bowler short on rink two, by accruing a substantial lead of 36 and a half shots.

The overall score was Murch 52 shots Pontyclun 15 and a half shots.

The players on rink one were C Hougardy, L Sandercott, S Wade (skip), P Ayres (capt) with Murch winning 26 shots to eight.

On rink two, the players were K MacLeod, C Russell, A Crouch (skip), C Real with Murch winning by 26 shots to seven and a half.

Murch took on Kenfig and Pyle on July 6 for the first time this season on an away green.

Murch bowlers continued their winning streak on all three rinks with an overall score of 63 shots to Kenfig and Pyle's 47.

The Murch players on rink one were K MacLeod, C Real, A Crouch, C Tranter (skip) with Murch winning 22-18.

On rink two the players were A Orchard, A Allen, E Carryer and M Clake (skip) with Murch winning 21-13.

On rink three the players were C Hougardy, A Croom, P Ayres (capt) and S Mauchline with Murch winning 20-16.

The re-arranged double rink game scheduled for this week was not played as Whitchurch were unable to raise a team.

Murch was awarded the ten points.
