PG10 recently participated in the prestigious 33rd Welsh International Super Cup in Cardiff hosted by Team Tours Direct.

The prestigious junior event has seen top professional footballers such as Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Tomas Rosicky, Andrei Shevchenko, Owen Hargreaves and Shay Given grace the tournament

PG10 had nine teams participating in the tournament aged between under four to under 12 which saw them play over 60 fixtures against sides from across the UK and the world.

PG10 under sixes, under sevens, under eights, under nines, under 10s and under 11s teams played in non competitive festivals scoring over 258 goals beating last year record of 245 goals and shining throughout and also catching the attention of a number of professional football scouts.

The under 12 team played in a competitive tournament and, after recent winning a tournament at St Georges Park the home of the FA, they enjoyed a great week, narrowly losing in the semi final.

PG10 now send there age groups to Southampton FC Cup where some of the biggest teams in the world such as Chelsea, Porto, Southampton, Deportivo La Coruña, Dinamo Zagreb, Bournemouth are also featuring in various age groups.

Peter Griffiths of PG10 said: "The first few weeks of the summer holidays has been action packed and an fantastic experience for all the kids.

"I cannot thank players parents and coaches enough for there support. To play in such a unique tournament which has seen top professionals such as Gerrard, Fowler and Owen play in it, is priceless to aid our players development and ensure they enjoy themselves playing football. We have already played in tournaments at St Georges Park during the holidays also an now travel to Southampton FC for a cup competition - endless opportunities for our players."

The tournament has set the tone for the season ahead as the academy look forward to the season again in the Junior Premier League.

Wales and British Lions Mike Phillips, Shane Williams, Lee Byrne and James Hook where the star attractions in an evening held at the Vale Sports Arena last week. Also in attendance was Wales and British Lion Rhys Webb.

In a hilarious evening legends Philllips, Williams, Byrne and Hook produced a thrilling event for guests speaking about their successful playing careers and their time in the Wales and the British and Irish Lions squads.

To have already people like Pele, Gazza Carragher, Fowler and many others supporting the arena and PG10 is humbling and makes a difference to so many children in the area."
