SULLY Bowling Club, the village club, beside the Jubilee Hall, had a really great start to the season.

With two home matches with both days staying dry, the club didn’t lose.

It’s always good to meet up again with some guys you will not have seen for six month and get some much needed fresh air in the lungs.

Special mention must go to Richard and Donny, our two green keepers, who have got the surface in great order for the start of the year for this is a great help in maintaining the standard of bowls played by the village club.

Millwood and Dinas Powis both enjoyed there game by the seaside.

This week, with a couple of regulars still out after knee replacements, the teams are away.

On Wednesday there is a trip to Penarth Windsor followed on Saturday with a visit to Splott Phoenix.

New bowlers are always welcome on a Monday evening from 5.45pm.

All they need is a pair of flat soled shoes, the rest is provided to start you off.

The club looks forward to seeing some new faces this week.
