DESPITE the cold weather a variety of boats turned out at Sully Sailing Club for Sunday's racing.

Lasers, two types of Topaz, a Topper and a Mirror Dinghy all took to the water and were greeted with a fresh north easterly breeze.

Series leader Danny Powell led for most of the first race but was pipped at the post by Steve Marshall, who finally got past him to win the race.

In the second race of the day despite the Lasers having a royal battle amongst themselves, it was Nigel Vick in a Topper who was the race winner when the handicaps were calculated.

These results mean that Steve moves up the overall rankings from fifth to second place, displacing Jake Richardson, Danny Powell, however, keeps the overall lead.

If you would like to meet these intrepid sailors and perhaps have a go at sailing you could always come to the Sully Sailing Club Open Day on Saturday, May 19th.
