PENARTH recorded another league win as they won away at Panteg by six wickets last Saturday.

The home side reached 175-6 in a reduced 30 overs a side game.

Glamorgan batsman Will Bragg top scored for Panteg with 45 with Richard Skone (3-31) the pick of the bowlers for Penarth.

Nathan Piddock took 2-30 and Scott Matthews 1-39.

The bears reached their target in the 30th over with an unbeaten 58 from Richard Skone and a not out 59 from Jonathan Davies seeing them home.

The seconds also beat Panteg as they hosted them at the Athletic Ground.

Batting first, Penarth scored a massive 282-9 from their 50 overs with 84 from James Erasmus and 64 from Llyr Morris leading the way.

Panteg were bowled out for 204 in the 44th over.

Neil Stephens starred with 4-18 as Morgan Crimp took 2-54.

Andy Graveson, Steffan Crimp and Alex Langrish all took a wicket each as Penarth won by 78 runs.

The thirds fell to defeat as they lost by six wickets at home Lisvane.

The bears reached a competitive 205-4 from their 40 overs with captain Conrad Adams hitting 51 and Gregg Cross with 41 as Ian Southwell finished not out on 38.

But Lisvane reached their target for the loss of just four wickets.

Gregg Cross picked up 2-20 and Rem Noormohamed 1-39 for Penarth.

The fourths’ game at Cynon Valley was called off.

This coming Saturday, the first team hosts Swansea and the seconds go to St Fagans.

The thirds go to Pontnewynydd and the fourths host St Fagans.

On Sunday, the firsts travel to St Fagans in the cup.
