THIS week saw the first games after the split into two conferences.

The Elite Pirates began with an awesome display from Mark Stevens hitting 2 Maximums and a 110 out shot, in victories over Alan Oliver and John Nowland. Alan had previously beaten inform James Johnstone, including a 16 dart leg. James and John shared the spoils later in the evening.

The Mutineers began with Russ Edwards drawing, with an inspired display, against Neil Thomas, and followed it up with a win over Paul Green. Paul Cox drew with Nathan Rosser and also the Verdi, to pick up 2 points on the night.

Mo Cox beat Nathan in a game which could have gone either way, but lost to Tomo.

A win which means Tomo joins Russ as early pace setters on 3 points.

Mark Williams hit a maximum as did Paul Green, taking the season tally to 23. Together with 10 ton plus finishes, it’s turning into a very good first year for the Pirates.

Mo Cox won his first round singles against Russ to make the last 8.

Tracy Goddard remains top of the Ladies despite going down 2-0 to a more than surprised Laura Webbe, in a catch up for the girls.

This week sees the 5 missing players (holidays) beginning their campaigns for success in their respective leagues.

A charity event is currently being arranged, for Macmillan nurses, so watch this space. Donations of raffle prizes would be much appreciated.

Please contact any member of the Pirates for donations etc. Thank you.
