LAST Wednesday the Villagers of Sully Bowls Club took on Bellevue at home and from the off it was a comfortable night by the sea.

On six ends it was 15 up and by 12 ends it was stretched to twenty.

With some good bowling, by the close it was all rinks up and over forty shots to the good.

Special mention for shot of the night by Dennis Edwards.

On the fifteenth end, lying one down, Dennis was asked with his last bowl to change hands and roll at the shot wood hit it clean out for a count, this he duly did and the count was a maximum eight, well played sir.

Saturday's top of the table clash with Taffs Well was a washout on 8 ends with the rain non stop and the green flooding.

It is planned to finish this at the end of the season.

This Saturday the Villagers take on bottom of the table Fairoak at the Jubilee Hall from 2.30pm.
