PAUL Cox, with a 14 dart leg, including a timely 180, still couldn’t get the better of the ‘old’ man Mo, ending in a 2-2 draw.

Paul, who is still unbeaten, in the Mutineers League, finally found the winning touch overcoming top of the table Neil Thomas.

Mo also drew with the Sparkle, in a tense affair.

It was a night of draws with Nathan Rosser also drawing twice, as did Paul Green, and Grant Coombes continued to pick up points, very impressively, in draws with Nathan and the Verde.

The Elite players put on another great show with everyone taking points, in a very competitive division.

Alan Oliver started the night beating Anthony Adams 3-0, only to succumb to the same score against John Nowland.

John was the main benefactor, on the night, taking 5 points out of a possible 6, by defeating Matt Stanger and drawing with Mark Stevens.

Matt hit his 6th maximum in beating James Johnstone, who in turn played a close game with Lee Lewis, sharing the spoils, in yet another drawn game.

Lee lost 3-1 to Anthony despite hitting a 180 and taking out a 15 dart leg.

Perhaps the best game, on the night, was the last match between Anthony and Mark Stevens.

A 14 dart leg from Anthony was matched with Mark hitting a maximum and taking his chances, on the doubles, to win 3-1.

Both divisions are really hotting up as we come to the halfway stage.

Mark Stevens leads the way at the top of the Elite with 7 points, but has played more games than his rivals. Matt and John have 6 points, with James a further point behind on 5. Alan, with 3 games in hand is on 4, together with Lee.

Carwyn, after his enforced absence, is back this week hoping to improve on his 2 point haul.

The Mutineers sees Neil on 10 points, after 7 games, with the undefeated Paul Cox on 8, and Russ Edwards on 6, with games in hand in 3rd.

Grant makes up the top 4 on 5 points, with Mo, on 5, Nathan on 4, and the Sparkle and the Verde hot on their tails with 3 points a piece, with games in hand.
