Summer fun for kids with Cardiff City - and a chance to train with first team players!
9:30am Friday 6th July 2012 in Sport
CARDIFF City's Community and Education Foundation are running some great summer activities for youngsters - including the chance to train with the Bluebirds first team!
From July 23 to 25, a three-day Olympic Soccer School will take place, based at the Cardiff City Stadium.
It will involve three days of sporty fun - including football archery, football sprints, football relays, football hurdles, football shot putt, and more! Children will receive medals for each discipline and there will also be prizes for overall winners.
Then later on in the holidays, from August 28-31, the Cardiff City Summer Experience will take place, with four fun-packed days - including a coaching session with some of the first team players!
Over the four days, youngsters will enjoy coaching with Cardiff City Academy staff at the revolutionary House of Sport next to the stadium; a trip to Barry Island to play beach soccer and other games; a coaching session with Cardiff City's first team players; and a Champions League style tournament.
As well as the fun and games, all children attending will receive a free child ticket to Cardiff City's home match against Wolves, with the additional option of a discounted £10 adult ticket.
There are also one-day (July 27) and two-day (August 14-15) sessions at Treforest.
All sessions run from 8.30am to 3pm, and children must take suitable footwear, shinpads, a packed lunch, and plenty to drink.
