MATTEO Holmes, of Stanwell School, Penarth, has been selected to represent Wales in the javelin and hammer in the Schools' International (SIAB) in Ashford, Kent, on Saturday, July 21.

Matt is ranked second in Wales in the under-17 men's category in the hammer, and third in the discus.

Matt is recovering from an elbow injury but is showing positive signs of returning to the same form in the javelin that saw him win for Wales in the Celtic Games in Antrim last year.
