Another weekend washout for Penarth CC

ALL cricket was washed out on Saturday - and the poor summer has resulted in 40 per cent of matches being called off or abandoned.

The fourth XI did manage to get half way through their game at Bridgend where they were playing Great Western. The home side managed 170 from their allotted overs and Penarth were a precarious 50 for 4 when the rain finally put paid to proceedings.

Next week the first XI travel to Chepstow and the seconds take on the same opponents at home. The thirds and fourths both play Cefn Forest away and home respectively.
