Dinas Powys Cricket Club enjoy end-of-season presentation night

PRESENTATION: 1st XI Player of the Year Steve Bussell receives his award from Club President Ian Richardson.
PLAYERS and their families and associates of Dinas Powys Cricket Club enjoyed a fine awards dinner at the SWALEC Stadium last Friday, to celebrate the best of what has been a pretty frustrating season.
Despite a damp summer, there were successes. The 2nds topped their division in the Glamorgan & Monmouthshire League, and the Midweek team were runners up in the Cardiff & Vale Midweek League Cup.
The club fielded a 3rd XI for the first time in many years, and the junior section continues to show that the future of cricket in Dinas is bright.
The recipients of this year's award, presented by Club President Ian Richardson, were:
Clubman of the Year - Neil Thomas;
3rd XI Player of the Year - Will Hume;
2nd XI Player of the Year - Dani Zaman;
1st XI Player of the Year - Steve Bussell;
Best Batting - Stuart Jones;
Best Bowling - Dani Zaman;
Most 6s - Stuart Jones; Most Improved Player - James Hiscocks.
The Committee of Dinas Powys CC would like to thank everyone who has played, supported, helped, sponsored or in any way been involved with the club this season. All are hoping for a warmer and drier season in 2013!
