RYAN Giggs' Wales will host Spain in Cardiff in a friendly on October 11 before taking on Albania in Elbasan on November 20.

The match will be Wales' first meeting with Spain since 1985, when two goals from Ian Rush and one from Mark Hughes secured a 3-0 win in a World Cup qualifier at the Racecourse, Wrexham.

Prior to that match, the teams have met each other on four other occasions, two of which ended in stalemate, with the other two matches resulting in defeat for Wales.

This latest encounter between the countries will be played ahead of Wales’ UEFA Nations League match in the Republic of Ireland on October 16, while Spain host England on October 15.

Wales last faced Albania in 1995, with Mark Pembridge scoring in a 1-1 draw in Tirana.

The nation's only other match against Albania came in 1994, with Chris Coleman and Giggs scoring in a 2-0 victory at the Arms Park in Cardiff.

Venue information and ticket details for Wales v Spain will be released in due course.
