Young cricketers set for busy summer

First published in Penarth sport

THERE'S good early-season news for the Sully Centurions Cricket Club, with a number of juniors selected for Cardiff and Vale squads.

The youngsters are: Gethin Hicks (U12), Sam Hopkins, Harry Edwards and Arron Arthur (U13), Adam Sylvester and Lewis Davies (U14) and Alex Langrish, Jo Hayer and Tom Pascoe (U15).

The club extends its congratulations to the group, with best wishes for their future development.

All juniors are reminded that nets are now in progress at the Colcot Sports Centre on Sunday afternoons (2.30-3.30pm), with any new members assured of a very warm welcome. If anyone is unable to attend, details about club activities are available from Dave Sylvester (01446 734762, day) or (029 2053 0896, evenings).

Senior nets have also started on Thursday evenings (8.30-9.30pm) at the same venue; once again, new faces are welcome and anyone interested can contact the above.
