With several regulars unavailable an understrength, Sully Centurions’ 1st XI were well and truly beaten by Miskin Manor at Sully. With the visitors racking up 302 for 6 it was a daunting task for the Centurions, but a devastating collapse saw them all out for a paltry 54 in just 15 overs.
The undoubted highlight for Miskin was a century for Hay. For Centurions, only Shae Ellis, with 3 for 36 and Adam Sylvester (14 not out) could come away with any personal satisfaction from this match. However, this was definitely one match the players will be keen to forget.

Under Strength Seconds Well Beaten
With plenty of players unavailable along with 1st XI call ups, Centurions’ 2nd XI travelled to Croesyceiliog and were on the receiving end of a hiding. The hosts batted first and were soon well on top, with openers Lewis (41) and Evans (51) sharing century partnership. Another stand of 84 between Webber (93 not out) and Scarborough (36) and 101 between Webber and Edwards (46 not out) saw Croesy to 296 for 3 at the end of the 45 overs.
One moment of concern was when Emma Davies was injured as she attempted to take a catch, with the ball hitting her in the sternum, but she bravely returned to the field of play for the latter stages of the Croesyceiliog innings.
When Centurions batted, opener Munim Khan just failed to reach his half century when he was caught on the boundary for 49. But a procession of wickets did not help the cause. Only Steve Morse (11) and Paul Harrison (10) reached double figures and the innings closed on 98 all out in the 30th over.
