DINAS Wolves faced Dinas Real in the Under 12’s with Dinas Wolves winning 13 – 0.

Wolves for the second game running come flying out of the blocks.

Normally slow starters Dinas Wolves managed to spread the ball wide and fast early on in this derby match causing Real problems on each flank. An early penalty converted by Saunders settled the nerves before he kindly added his second. Hewitson then showed his quality with number 3.

Wolves then started to knock the ball around going from front to back and side to side. Further goals from Saunders, Hewitson, Pereria and Booker gave the Dinas Wolves team a comfortable lead.

In the second half Real really put up a stubborn rearguard as Couch in goals was in no mood to concede as he pulled off save after save. Real tried to play out and to their credit were always looking to pass out and play.

Swapping positions around saw Frost get on the score sheet in a more advanced roll as he slotted home. Doughty added another soon after before Hewitson grabbed a couple more. Fifield, Quest, Booker and Lewis all looked comfortable on the ball tonight. Williams, Moss and Mallum certainly weren't going to concede and Morris looked very impressive playing a very high line between the sticks.

As both sets of players knew each other so well the game was played in a very much friendly spirit. Players joking and laughing at missed chances and generally showing a lot of respect for each other.

Big thank you to Mark Harvey for organising the referee the lads certainly appreciated it and learnt so much having a proper official in the middle.
