IT may be winter but Sully Centurions Cricket Club is already gearing up for the new season, which will be the club's 60th anniversary year.

On Thursday, January 29, the club holds its annual general meeting, at the Seashore Grill, Sully, commencing at 7.30pm. All members are urged to attend to have a say in the running of the club.

The pre-season indoor nets start on Tuesday, February 3, at the newly opened Four Squares Sports facility on Penarth Road, Cardiff (next to the Hyundai showroom). Juniors 6-7pm, seniors 7-8pm.

Anyone interested in joining the club, senior or junior, is cordially invited to attend these sessions.

The club has also been informed of the draws for the Welsh Cup and the National Village Cup for the 2015 season:

Village Cup (Sunday, May 17) Home V Pentyrch CC - the winners will host Ynystawe CC in the next round.

Welsh Cup (Sunday, June 7) Home V Ponthir CC.

And finally, congratulations to the club's welfare officer, Jemima Sylvester on two fronts - firstly, for passing the 'Safeguarding Children' course with flying colours, but most of all for the announcement of her engagement to Ross. All at the club send their best wishes to her.
