IN the Penarth Darts League there were the first matches in the 401 pair’s competition on four boards in Penarth and Cogan. At the Golden Lion the home side players from the Lion A, Steve Denman and Nathan Jones, won through knocking out Ex’s pairing Steve Turnbull and John Nowland in the board final.

At the Ex’s in the board final (playing on the usual match board) the Coronation Club took the win when Dai Jeynes and Wayne Jones knocked out fellow team mates Owen Hoddinott and Derek Burtenshaw. Dai hit a 126 out shot on the bull along the way.

Also at the Ex’s in the bar were Ex’s A pairing of Mark Stevens and Mark Williams who knocked out Ex’s B pairing Wayne Bennett and Kevin Murdoch to win the board final.

At the Coronation Club the Station pairing of Anthony Adams and Garry Hobbs won the board final against the Ex’s A pairing of Paul Wingren and Jack Frost.
