BELLE Vue Bowling Club played in the Munro Cup on Wednesday with the weather and other team taking charge.

After four rinks Belle Vue Bowling Club lost 85-43.

The first rink went down 23-7, playing were lead Rowland Fletcher, Gerald Thomas, Dave Miller and skip Len Fowler.

The second rink of lead Frank Keen, Teri Jones, Colin Scammell and skip Paul Peterson lost 19-7.

Skip Brian Morgan led rink three, with new player Paul, Gordon Ford and Alan Thomas losing 24-19.

In the final rink the side lost 23-15. The rink was led by Dave Smith, Ray Patterson, Buddy Bagwell and skip was Trevor Ford.

Belle Vue were simply outplayed by their opponents.

Their recent match on Saturday in the Carruther Shield fared better when they faced Barry Central.

Belle Vue won three rinks with only one losing.

Their first rink which was led by Mike Smith, who was back after two years away, won with Paul Booth, Alan Thomas and skip Brian Morgan.

The second rink of lead Frank Keen, president of the club Dick, Trevor Ford and skip Paul Peterson won 27-15.

The final winning rink was led by Colin Scammell with Dave Patterson, Richard Fitzjohn and skip Dave Purser putting in a score of 23-13.

The only losing rink of Rowland Fletcher, Gerald Thomas, Dave Miller and skip Malcolm Thomas narrowly went down 19-22.
