HOCKEY Wales has launched its Back2Hockey Summer Campaign to get people to play the game again.
Penarth Hockey Club has signed up to deliver sessions in Barry and wants anyone over the age of 16 to come along and try it out.
Clubs will be opening their doors to players new and old seeking a gentle and friendly introduction or reintroduction to hockey in a social and informal environment.
The campaign runs for eight weeks and is led by a welcoming Back2Hockey activator from each club. The majority of people that attend Back2Hockey sessions are looking to improve their fitness, confidence and to brush up on their hockey skills.
Penarth Hockey Club will run sessions at Barry Sports Centre on Wednesdays, 7-8pm, from July 15.
Anyone from Penarth and Barry who is interested should contact James Davies at Welshjd@hotmail.com or for general hockey enquiries please visit hockeywales.org.uk/play/back2hockey
