PENARTH Sea Angling held its recent competition on Saturday evening as part of the Penarth Summer Festival.
First was Jim Grovell who caught a conger eel from the pier weighing 5lb 15oz.
Second was Adam Farmer who caught a 4lb 6oz conger eel from the beach.
Third was Paul Starling with a conger eel from the beach weighing 3lb 13oz.
Fourth was Simon Tritschler with a 3lb 6oz thornback ray from the pier.
The next competition is this Saturday, July 11, fishing from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
