FORMER professional footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock has attended a sports dinner in Penarth.

He is just one of a number of sporting legends appearing in the town over the coming months.

The popular player was at The Oystercatcher, Penarth Marina, supporting PG10 Coaching and raising funds for a new proposed indoor 3G and sports facility in Penarth led by Vale Sports Arena.

The evening was a huge success with guests learning about Ruddock's career, achievements and stories from a successful professional career and time on TV in programmes such as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Celebrity Big Brother.

Further sports dinners are now announced with some huge sporting names attending: Former world heavyweight champion of the world Frank Bruno on Friday, August 28; Liverpool FC and German legend Didi Hamann Friday, September 25; and BBC Match of the Day pundit and Liverpool FC legend Mark Lawrenson on Friday, November 20, which includes a Stereophonics tribute act. They will all be appearing at The Oystercatcher, helping to support local children and aid their sporting development

Guests can enjoy a three-course meal, auctions, games, questions and answers, guest speakers and much more.
