DURING the summer holidays children and young people from across Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff recently participated in a unique two day Soccer Camp with Premier League giants Liverpool FC and PG10
On day one children where taught new skills and techniques by qualified UEFA PG10 coaches in a fun and safe environment in the Vale of Glamorgan.
On day two children and young people visited Liverpool FC for a personal tour of the world famous Anfield stadium and the museum learning about the clubs rich history, with Liverpool FC legend and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson
Thompson played for Liverpool 377 times and England 42 times and was also the Liverpool assistant manager. The children where inspired to hear of some of the stories from his playing and coaching career
Thompson also won the Champions League three times, the league title 7 times FA Cup 1, Charity Shield 6 times, League Cup 2, UEFA Cup 2, UEFA Super Cup 1,
The children also viewed the Steven Gerrard football collection and enjoyed a Q and A with Thompson. Wales and Everton FC legend Neville Southall also attended the day inspiring the children throughout the day.
