Dinas Powys Revs 7 - Caerau 4

DINAS carried on their winning ways after last playing in October and the villagers didn't disappoint, within 10 minutes Dai Williams slotted a goal after one of the slickest one-two movements this season will produce.

Then some sloppy work from midfield allowed the Caerau striker to level the score.

The villagers once again switched off and a reckless challenge allowed the visitors a free kick to make it 2-1. The villagers, never say die attitude showed, with the back four coolly marshalled by skipper Paul Caulfield and it didn't take long for James Perret to latch onto a through ball and Cooley rounded the 'keeper to pass into an empty net. Once again the villagers were caught napping to allow the visitors to end the half at 3-2.

The second half the villagers came out firing on all for cylinders, it took an outstanding save from Ashley Newcombe to keep the villagers in the game. A quick counter attack led to Luke Garland levelling the score.

Scot Muir was introduced to the game and you can see why he has been playing for the first team. Some quality running and strength didn't take long for him to net a brace of goals.

The visitors came back with one of their substitutes grabbing a goal. The villagers were on top of their game and with Courtney Aviet winning most of the 50/50 challenges in the middle of the park, two quick goals from Williams and Garland put the game to bed, with a final score of 7-4.

The second half brought out the best from the villagers with some outstanding performances but man of match went to the young Rueben Brill.
