THE gentlemen of the Windsor Bowling Club began their season in earnest on Tuesday, April 19, with an away match at Whitchurch in the Alliance League. Although winning three of five rinks they lost overall by 22 shots.
The home friendly against Fairoaks on Thursday however saw all four rinks win with a shot difference of 38.
Saturday's home and away friendlies against Barry Athletic saw defeats for the first team and A sides but a good early season outing was enjoyed by all.
The Windsor Ladies had a friendly away match at Rhiwbina which was also a good game. These early season outings are useful to bowlers to regain their rhythm after the winter break.
The ladies third and final friendly is against Fairwater on Thursday.
