UK BASED insurance company Admiral and local funeral directors James Summers have sponsored the provision of training jackets issued to the whole squad from Old Penarthians RFC Under-14s.
Admiral is the official shirt sponsor of the Welsh national rugby team but they also offer financial support to local communities across South Wales.
Representatives from both sponsors presented the jackets to the coaches and players ahead of their last home game of the season on Sunday, May 8.
Julia Fish from James Summers Funeral Directors based at Lavernock Road said, “We are delighted to support the Old Penarthians, and particularly the Under-14s squad. The boys look very smart in their new tops.”
Paul Gibbs from Admiral added, “Admiral are pleased to be associated with the Old Penarthians. It’s fantastic to see how much the club is doing to allow the opportunity for children to enjoy rugby at grass roots level”.
Andy Petersen, head coach with the Old Penarthians Under-14s, thanked both sponsors. “We are very grateful to Admiral and James Summers for their generosity. The minis and juniors section here at the Old Pens has grown from strength to strength. The financial support from both local companies has allowed us to provide the Under-14s team with quality kit to wear after their matches”.
