SULLY Bowling Club had a bad run of results during their previous week's matches.

On Wednesday at home to Penarth, although winning on two rinks, they could not cover the heavy defeat of the other two which went down by 21 shots overall.

The picture seems to be emerging that Sully don't last the pace, as yet again it was in the last five ends that the match was lost.

J Hubbard, D Davies, T Murphy, D Curtis 18-14

S Norris, B Curtis, H Thomas, I Paterson 28-11

E Prior, S Dibble, A Smith, D Edwards 9-33

G Needley, C Michael, A Rees, H Levick-Jones 13-31

Final score 68 - 89

On Saturday they travelled away to Bargoed for the first time in many years and were given a very warm welcome, both on and off the green.

It was refreshing to see a club where over half the players were under 30 years old.

But, again they were undone in the last five ends across the green.

A Smith, D Curtain, M Hardy, B Griffiths 24-17

B Curtis, D Davies, D Hochkiss, C Best 19-24

A Rees, G Needley, D Edwards, I Paterson 11-20

E Prior, H Levick-Jones, T Murphy, D Curtis 13-25

Final score 86-67

With no Wednesday fixture the club entertain Ynysabwll on Saturday.
