MURCH Bowling Club's ladies section managed to play only one of their three fixtures last week, with bad weather being to blame.

Their first match on August 1 in the Evening League against Rumney Gardens had to be rearranged due to the inclement weather and then the next day on August 2 against Windsor suffered the same fate.

Luckily on August 4, Murch were able to host Cowbridge in a return Afternoon League match, with their opponents playing on an unfamiliar grass surface.

Murch ladies redeemed their previous loss to the visitors with a comfortable margin of 36 shots. The overall score being 70 shots to 34.
