WITH only one more rain affected match to play next week at Gelligaer, this week saw the completion of Sully Bowling Club's season.
On Saturday, September 10, it was the club's finals day for the various club competitions. Thankfully it stayed fine to complete all of the planned games. Congratulations go to all the winners.

On Sunday, the club played in the final of the Alan Martin at Millwood against Barry Athletic. Barry turned up with probably their strongest two rinks that they could put out containing four internationals and county players, enough to say Barry were honourable winners.
At the same time at Barry Athletic, Brian Griffiths was playing in the County Over-60's Single Final and came away victorious 21 - 14.
As a season, although the Saturday team were demoted to division three of CML, the Wednesday side finished sixth out of 18. Sully got to the final of two county competitions and Brian's win gives the club a county champion.
Sully Bowling Club look forward to inviting any new or experienced bowlers to join them for next season.
