THE Dillwyn Thomas tournament is the most popular tennis tournament at Dinas Powys Tennis Club. It is a one month mixed doubles tournament played in September.
This year 24 couples entered it and they were split into two groups with the team players in the top group.
The final was played on Saturday, October 1 and the weather was blustery with showers. There was however, enough fine weather to see Alex Vowles and his partner Libby Smith beat Gareth Hodges and Amelia Davidson in the top group and young Dan Munro-Morris and his sister Beth beat Simon Lee and Tors Easton in the other group.
