Aberdare Ladies 0 - Dinas Powys Ladies 0
DINAS Powys Ladies fought out a hard draw against a spirited Aberdare Ladies to continue their unbeaten run.
Failure to produce from dead ball situations early on in the game cost the Dinas 'Villagers'. The visitors had an early warning as the home side forced the Dinas 'keeper Naomi Wilson into a fine reflex save tipping a 20 yard strike over.
Dinas tried to force the game as Laura Murray and Molly Chapman were found guilty of poor finishing. It was always going to be one of those days as too many of the Dinas girls didn't seem to have their head in the game and failed to convert chances into goals.
Taylor Page thought she had snatched the winner late on as the shot struck the upright and brave defending denied Chapman at the back post.
Thankfully though the defence showed their quality ensuring the home attacks came to nothing. Vicki Ellison and Leanne Pattermore marshalled them throughout to ensure a clean sheet with Beare, Crowley, O'Connell and Imperato rotating as fullbacks stood very strong.
Dinas need to get back to their usual form next week.
