PENARTH Sea Angling held their first Christmas competition on Sunday, November 27.
In first place was Ray Starling with a conger eel from the beach weighing 10lb 6oz.
Next was Joe Smith with a conger eel from the pier weighing 3lb 1/2oz.
Third went to Adam James with a 2lb 4oz conger eel from the beach.
Fourth was Paul Starling with a 2lb 1oz conger eel from the beach.
Junior member Ioan Sexton also made the list with a silver eel weighing 7oz.
The second Christmas competition will be on Sunday, December 4, fishing from the pier and beach from 8am until noon.
